Brief description of what you do at PAWS
I work alongside our Kennel Manager and Medical Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly, and I oversee animal care/adoptions, volunteer management, and facility concerns.
Years with PAWS
I've been volunteering for almost five years and working here for almost 4 years, first as a kennel assistant, then as Staff Assistant, and recently stepping into the role of Interim Operations Manager.
Your pets at home
We have one dog and four wildly different cats ranging from shy and sweet to sassy and bite-y. Our dog CC can usually be found supervising the front desk at PAWS and ensuring quality control for all dog treats that cross her path.
Favorite thing about PAWS
I love watching the harder to adopt cats and dogs blossom under the care of our dedicated volunteers and staff. It is so rewarding to see an animal who has spent years at PAWS work through the things that may make them less adoptable and find that perfect forever home!
What you can usually be found doing outside of work?
I love to hang out at home with my husband Paul and our pets while I garden, read, and do crafty things like knitting or spinning my own yarn.
What is your perfect vacation?
I'm outdoorsy and love exploring nature, so I like to go camping (especially if we can bring our dog along!)
Favorite book?
I'm a total nerd who loves Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. If you find a nerdy and/or pun-ny name at PAWS (like Bilbo Waggins), I might be responsible for that!
