Community Service Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in completing your community service hours with Centre County PAWS.

Please contact Hannah (hannah@centrecountypaws.org) for more information or to get started.

We ask all trained volunteers to commit to 30 hours of service with PAWS, so all volunteers interested in working with PAWS for less than 30 hours will be asked to work with our team of Kennel Assistants in helping to complete the day to day operations within our facility. Community Service volunteers help with basic cleaning of the facility, feeding and watering of animals, laundry, filling Kongs with peanut butter, laundry, and much more! All Community Service Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older

We require all Community Service volunteers keep track of their own hours and allow PAWS, at the minimum, one week to process a verification letter of your completed hours. We also require that at the end of each shift, you have your hours verified by the shift leader. Please click here to view and print a tracking sheet. Your tracking sheet will be requested before an hours verification letter is submitted.

PAWS is happy to make any accommodations for volunteers who may need extra support for physical, emotional or developmental needs.
