Youth Volunteers

If your child is 13 years or older and you can both commit to roughly 30 volunteer hours or more per year, she or he can work alongside you as a Cat Care volunteer. Children under the age of 18 who are interested in regular volunteering must always be accompanied and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or an authorized "responsible adult" (21 or older). Both the youth and adult must complete training classes for Cat Care.

Community service hours for children in need of fewer than 30 hours is not available through PAWS. Additionally, our Dog Care volunteer program does not accept youth volunteers, to ensure the highest level of safety.
