How long have you been at PAWS?
I have volunteered at PAWS since July 2015.

What's your favorite thing about PAWS?
My favorite thing about PAWS is seeing dogs that are ill or who have behavior issues or who are shy and scared become healthy, happy, and adoptable with the wonderful care, training and love they receive from the staff and volunteers there.

What are your favorite non-PAWS hobbies?
In my free time, I like to read, hang out with my own 4 dogs, spend time with my grandkids, wish I was a house flipper (haha), sit in my recliner. I love to travel near and far, but hate leaving my dogs for long periods. For a few years, I was active in community theater and it is one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done. I had several lead parts in comedies and had small parts in musicals, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Music Man, and Annie Get Your Gun (I'm not a great dancer or singer). I really love theater.

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Bradford county, raised on a dairy farm on the property that my sisters snd I still share. One sister now owns the homestead and it is a great gathering place for my large extended family.

How long have you lived in Centre County?
I moved to Centre County in June 2015 because my daughter moved here with my grandkids to marry a State College boy. PAWS has been a great place for me to meet like minded people.

What's your favorite book?
Favorite book? So many! I taught high school English for 23 years. My favorite classics would be Call of the Wild and To Kill a Mockingbird. Loved Game of Thrones, Outlander series, Hunger Games, etc

What's your favorite movie?
I love comedy movies, but my all time favorite is the original Overboard with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

Where's your favorite place to vacation?
My favorite vacation place is Keuka Lake.

What do you like to do in Centre County?
I'm still exploring Centre county. I  have hiked Mt Nittany and Black Moshannon and I like trying all the different restaurants. Where I'm from, there's only about six within 30 miles. I also love meeting the university students from all over the world who volunteer at PAWS.
