When did you start volunteering at PAWS?

I started volunteering at PAWS March 2017

What jobs/roles have you performed at PAWS?

I am an adoption counselor and have fostered over 70 dogs and cats.

What do you currently do as a volunteer?

I am currently fostering 2 kittens that I found along the road that paws took in. I am also an adoption counselor.

Why do you volunteer at PAWS?

I believe in their mission and I believe we should all be helping the animals in our community that need help. I value what they do to help the stray population, helping the community with low cost spay and neuter clinics. I believe they care about our community and the animals in need.

When you're not at PAWS, what do you like to do with your time?

I stay busy spending time with my family and three children. We own a small business that I help manage. This year I am also homeschooling my youngest son, that takes up a lot of my day. I also enjoy traveling, running and swimming in my free time.

What do you like best about being a PAWS volunteer? What do you find to be the most rewarding?

I like meeting the adopters and helping them to find their new best friends. I find that the most rewarding part is seeing kittens or adult cats transformed from being very scared and sometimes feral cats to loving and sweet pets. I love to follow their stories and see them in loving homes, seeing how happy they are makes it worth it.

If someone asked you why they should volunteer at PAWS, what answer would you give?

I believe if they love animals and want to show love to those abandoned or neglected cats and dogs they should think about volunteering at PAWS.
