When did you start volunteering at PAWS?

After I retired in 2017

What jobs/roles have you performed at PAWS?

I walk dogs three mornings a week and I’m co-shift leader on Monday mornings. I’m part of the behavioral team, an adoption counselor, helping with PAWSabilities and Summer Program groups, and best of all, Sadie’s foster mom. ?

What do you currently do as a volunteer?

Walk dogs, help folks find their furever pup, and help with dog introductions.

Why do you volunteer at PAWS?

It makes me happy to be around the dogs (no offense pretty kitties) and knowing that we are giving them the best chance to live a wonderful life.

When you're not at PAWS, what do you like to do with your time?

We race motorcycles April through October - a whole family thing, I love visiting with my granddaughters in Connecticut and grand twins here in Bellefonte, I read a lot of books and always have needlework projects in the works.

What do you like best about being a PAWS volunteer? What do you find to be the most rewarding?

It’s the love and trust you see in a dogs eyes when they realize you are helping them and loving them.

If someone asked you why they should volunteer at PAWS, what answer would you give?

What you get back is so much more than what you give.
