Role at PAWS
Fulltime kennel assistant- My job is making sure the animals are in a clean environment and making the building feel safe and comfortable for people visiting.
Time with PAWS
I’ve been at PAWS for over a month now, I am still getting to know the amazing staff and volunteers, as well as the animals. Everyone has made me feel very welcomed and I am thankful for the welcoming environment.
What can you be found doing outside of PAWS?
I have two cats, Moonie and Storm. Moonie is my baby, she’s about 4 years old now and storm is 6 years old. I also have a dog, his name is Cosmo, he’s a little over a year old now. I love my animals. Fun fact about my animals - they were all rescues! Just like the animals at PAWS.
What you can usually be found doing outside of PAWS?
I love to hang out with my animals and family. I also enjoy my hobbies, so you may find me crocheting a sweater, or reading a book. But most of the time you’ll find me sleeping if i have a chance.
Favorite book
My favorite book would be the Acotar series. I love this series because of all the amazing and unique characters. I also love the dynamic between the sisters and “bat boys”. (a group of character in the books). I also love the community. they are just great books to read I recommend them to anyone!
Favorite things about PAWS?
I love the people and the friends I’ve made.I’ve always been very passionate about animals, so being able to take care of them and watch them go from having nothing to a healthier life is very rewarding to me. So working at PAWS is everything I love to do.
Anything else fun or interesting people might be interested in learning about you?
I worked at another shelter prior to PAWS and It wasn’t a positive environment for me. Now that I’m here at PAWS, it’s been amazing and a very healthy environment for me to work! I’m so happy and proud to be a part of the PAWS group!
