We have all heard stories about how college students abandon their pets left and right. At PAWS, we track the origin of all of our animals and have found this is simply not the case. The PAWS foster program is quite heavily reliant on the energy and enthusiasm of Penn State students. They help us get through the overwhelming months that are "kitten season" by fostering litter after litter. In addition, a handful of these students recently heard our plea about the influx of abandoned and medically needy dogs, as highlighted in our blog post, and came forward to foster. They have been true lifesavers. We thought we would spotlight them as a whole and share their foster experiences.
