When did you start volunteering at PAWS? 2013

What jobs/roles have you performed at PAWS? Dog care volunteer/shift leader, floor volunteer, pet partner, foster, behavioral team

What do you currently do as a volunteer? Dog care volunteer/shift leader, pet partner, foster, behavioral team

Why do you volunteer at PAWS? I started volunteering because I love dogs and wanted to help homeless animals. Now I can’t imagine my life without the amazing dogs I get to work with at PAWS.

When you're not at PAWS, what do you like to do with your time? Hiking (always with a dog), kayaking, yoga, traveling

What do you like best about being a PAWS volunteer? What do you find to be the most rewarding? What I like best is how hard the staff and volunteers work to make sure the animals are as comfortable and happy as possible while they wait for their forever homes. It is rewarding to see dogs that were very stressed and scared when they arrived settle in and start to trust us.

If someone asked you why they should volunteer at PAWS, what answer would you give? It’s a fun and rewarding way to spend your time. There are so many different volunteer opportunities to try out to find what you like best.
