When did you start volunteering at PAWS?

I started volunteering at PAWS in January of 2018.

What jobs/roles have you performed at PAWS?

Volunteering on the cat side and fostering

What do you currently do as a volunteer?

I currently volunteer to help care for the animals on the cat side and foster kittens/kittens and moms.

Why do you volunteer at PAWS?

It was my daughter, Cienna, who got me into volunteering at PAWS. She wanted to volunteer at PAWS, so we gave it a try.  We ended up really enjoying helping out and learned so much while we were there. Soon after, we attended classes to become fosters for kittens as well.

When you're not at PAWS, what do you like to do with your time?

I enjoy spending time and taking walks with my family and friends, including my own three cats. I also enjoy reading, exercise, and learning about nutrition and overall health.

What do you like best about being a PAWS volunteer? What do you find to be the most rewarding?

I just enjoy PAWS overall. The people I volunteer with are wonderful, and everyone has always been so helpful and appreciative. I think I find socializing shy/scared kittens to be the most rewarding.  Helping a kitten get rid of its fear, learn to trust, and eventually find a forever home is really rewarding.

If someone asked you why they should volunteer at PAWS, what answer would you give?

Volunteering at PAWS makes me happy. It’s an opportunity to meet some great people and some lovable furry friends.  It's very fulfilling.
