Favorite part of your job
Meeting new people while letting the community and our supporters know how great PAWS is.
What are you most proud of about your time at PAWS?
The campaign I am most proud of is Centre Gives. We have strategically grown our efforts to make this our most significant annual fundraiser. The event has grown by 5 times from when I started at PAWS.
I am also very proud of the culture of philanthropy I have helped to establish as the first ever paid Director of Development for PAWS. We have built a truly great team. I have worked in non-profits for most of my career and this is the hardest working group of people (staff and volunteers alike) I have ever been around.
When I’m not at PAWS I can be found...
reading. Probably my most favorite thing to do is read. My taste is eclectic from non-fiction to beach mysteries and novels. I love reading short stories. I also really enjoy cooking and learning about (and drinking) wine.
What was the first concert you attended?
Seals and Crofts at Hersheypark Arena with my family. I remember they sang “Summer Breeze.” I was horrified to recently find out that 80’s music is considered to be oldies! I enjoy singing those “oldies” in my office to serenade my favorite Chihuahua, Patsy, and my other colleagues.
What else?
I love when people share their passion for animals and rescue. My job gives them the opportunity to share their love through gift making. I am always proud to talk about PAWS.
